Hi! I'm Mark Magistrelli. In addition to my principal career as a producer/writer of documentaries, I also host radio programs focusing on historic popular music and broadcasting.

Mark Magistrelli is a producer and writer of TV and radio documentaries ("Ruth Lyons: First Lady of Television," "Let Freedom Ring," "D-Day Plus 50 Years") and public radio personality ("The Big Broadcast," "The Great Standards," "When Swing Was King"). He has received 9 Emmys and the George Foster Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting. Other honors include the Scripps Howard National Journalism Award; the New York International Festivals Award; the UNDA/USA Gabriel Award; the Major E. Howard Armstrong Research Foundation Award, and the NAB Service to Children Television Award. Magistrelli is a co-founder of Media Heritage, a 501(c)3 archive and museum of radio and TV history. He is also recognized for his accomplishments in the field of audio restoration. In addition to writing the book for "‘S Wonderful! 100 Years of Gershwin" and other revues, Mark continues to pursue his lifelong passion for musical theatre through his work as an ASCAP composer and lyricist.
